Welcome to Becks Thompson’s Abstract Art!!!!
For those of you who don’t know me; my name is Becks and I’m a full-time paediatric ITU nurse, and part time artist based in South London.
Granted, it's not the most obvious of combos, ITU nurse and abstract artist, but it also makes a lot of sense if you REALLY think about it! I studied anatomy, which gives me a whole other level of understanding of the human form, which I'm hoping to develop more as I explore nudes. I've even created a series called "Survivors" which focuses on the scars left behind from life saving surgery; marrying up my two passions pretty beautifully. And in terms of sending nude photos for commissions; don't worry, I've seen it all before!
Nursing is pretty stressful at the best of times, let alone with everything that's happened this year with COVID! I've found that art can also be a great therapy both for myself painting it, and also for others who get to take it home and have their walls livened up a bit.
This website has been a long time coming, and I’m really proud of the fact I was able to face my technological fears to create a platform to showcase and sell my art!
